Awards
Here is where you can find my broadcasting awards. This includes both national awards and those from certain camps where I was recognized in competition.
2022 Broadcaster of the Year - John Drury Awards (Winner)
Awarded to the student who shows proficiency in all aspects of broadcasting. Everything from DJ-ing on the radio, broadcasting sports, and reporting news are examples of what is looked for when the winner is being chosen.
Students who submit at least one entry in each of these three groups will be eligible:
2022 Best Sportstalk Program - John Drury Awards (Winner)
2022 Breaking News Tournament of Champions - Bruce Beck Sports Broadcasting Camp (Winner)
A mutli-day competition that challenged students ability to improvise and create content in short amounts of time. Students were given a time limit (Just 15 minutes in the tournament) to write a 45 second breaking news recap on a topic as if it just had happened. After the time limit was up they had to perform it. In the playoffs if they fell below 44 seconds or above 46 seconds they were disqualified. The winner was chosen based on tone, timing, delivery, and diction.
2022 Best Newscast - John Drury Awards (2nd Place)
2022 Best DJ - John Drury Awards (4th Place)
2022 Best Sportscast - John Drury Awards (4th Place)
